"Was muss man sich in Kassel unbedingt anschauen? Haben Sie Tipps?" Eine Freundin und ich stehen in einem Blumenladen an der Wilhelmshöher Allee und interviewen die netten Verkäufer/-innen. Der Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe mit dem Herkules wird als erstes genannt - leider in der falschen Richtung. "Weinberg, Aue und das Café Jungborn sind auch toll". Wir lassen uns den Weg beschreiben. Fast tun sie mir ein wenig leid, denn Kassel ist meine Heimatstadt und so kenne ich mich ganz gut aus hier.
Doch der Plan für den heutigen Tag sieht so aus: Wir tun so, als wären wir zu Gast in Kassel und versuchen, die Stadt mit fremden Augen zu sehen - und vielleicht sogar etwas neues zu entdecken.
Zuerst gehen wir also zum Weinberg mit dem Museum für Sepulkralkultur. Guter Tipp - das ist sowieso mein Lieblingsmuseum. Wir genießen die Aussicht auf die Südstadt und machen uns auf den Weg in
die Innenstadt. Meine Freundin empfiehlt die Herrenabteilung in der Galeria Kaufhof. Ich wusste gar nicht, dass man hier so nett sitzen kann, mit Blick auf die Fißgängerzone. Auf dem Weg zum Café
im Kurbad Jungborn (was wir damals tatsächlich noch nicht kannten) gehen wir über die Drahtbrücke und bewundern die Liebesschlösser. Das Museum im Kurbad zu alter Badekultur ist sehenswert und
der Kuchen lecker. Die Sonne scheint, es ist warm und auf der Terasse über der Fulda fühlen wir uns wie im Urlaub.
Diese Aktion ist schon einige Jahre her - und sollte dringend wiederholt werden, finde ich. Denn Urlaub ist erst einmal nicht in Sicht, das große Geld für die Weltreise auch nicht. Ein bißchen
Abenteuer gibt es überall - auch direkt vor Eurer Haustür. Probiert es aus!
